The Friends Association of Bramley Sunnyside Schools (FABSS), established in 2007, is a charity organisation run by parents, friends and staff of the Infant and Junior Schools to generate funds to enhance the education of our children. We aim to do this by:
- developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school;
- engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and aid the development of children’s education
We like to raise funds for the schools whilst having fun –and we actually do have fun. There are no ‘scary’ jobs because we work as a team and nobody is put under pressure to do something they are not happy to. We are hoping to find extra hands to help us raise much needed funds for our children.
We meet regularly to discuss ways we can raise new funds and we are always open to new ideas. In the past, we’ve raised around £5000 – £6000 per year by running events such as Winter Wonderland, Easter Eggstravaganza, Summer Fair, Bingo Nights & Fashion Shows.
Each year we hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) where the committee are elected. The current committee are:
